Animal Jam: The Past and The Present

As you can tell by the title, this post is going to be comparing the older version of Animal Jam to the newer version! There are many, many differences between the two. Let's start!

The Lands
Today, Jamaa Township is a full, bustling town. Jammer Central is the most noticeable difference, and the Diamond Shop is up there, too. Here is an image of the older Jamaa Township.
Personally, I do like the older one better. It is more mysterious and based on lore. Also, it doesn't have as many human elements.
The next land that is really different is Crystal Sands. As you can see in the picture below, there are many water slides there today!
But back in the Beta Days, Crystal Sands was more like an animal-based beach, and once again, didn't have as many human elements.

Parties/Adventures
The parties haven't really changed that much besides a few new ones. The biggest update for parties AJHQ has made since the Beta Days are the Jammer Hosted parties they released last year.
However, during the Beta Days, adventures never existed. Today, adventures are a big part of the game and are always fun to play. (Unless you're obsessed with rares and scam a bunch of people, then you're wasting your life making your personality decrease in kindness)
But yeah, adventures are always cool. Here are a few available from the adventures list.

Items
Between now and the Beta Days, there are too many new items to count. So many new things have been released, but I think the biggest item to ever be released since then are the Skullys.
The Skullys were the most legendary item in the game, and now the legend is ruined. People don't even care about it.

The Community
The Community of Animal Jam is the biggest change between now and then. People say that the Beta Days were much better and they want to return. But what's the truth? I think the Community has changed, not the game. Back then people used to be more kind and didn't scam as much. People were better on the game and actually played for friends. Today, most people play to meet famous people and get rares.
But, honestly, there is another change that most people don't realize. Blogs used to be a HUGE part of the game. They used to be extremely popular. I remember the first AJ blog ever, Fuzzy Shyivy's Animal Jam Rush.
Blogs were amazing, and much better than making videos. Around 2013 that is when Youtubers became more popular than Bloggers. Youtubers, in my opinion, are causing more and more people to be obsessed with Spikes, Headdresses, and other rares.

That's the end of my comparison. What do you think about it? Would you change it or leave it? Comment below and I'll see you in my next post.
